At The Home Depot, sustainability starts with intentional choices – our Eco Actions.

From our products to our partnerships, we work to reduce our environmental impact and create a more sustainable future. We’re proud to recognize Kreate as an Eco Actions Partner.

Designing for Sustainability

Kreate, a design and engineering firm, specializes in creating high-quality plastic products using post-consumer and post-industrial resins. As a trusted supplier of brands like HDX, Husky and Vigoro, Kreate incorporates sustainability at every stage of its product development. Their nine-step design process ensures that every product is optimized for durability, cost-efficiency and minimal environmental impact.

By evaluating factors like resin selection, logistics and production efficiency, Kreate ensures its products meet the highest standards while using sustainable materials. The company uses 150 million pounds of recycled resin annually, enough to fill the Mercedes-Benz stadium with water bottles…twice.

Advancing Sustainable Manufacturing

Kreate’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond materials. Their manufacturing facilities leverage cutting-edge, all-electric, servo-driven machinery, which consumes just one-tenth of the energy of traditional hydraulic, injection-molding machines. This energy-efficient technology makes Kreate one of the world’s most sustainable injection-molding manufacturers.

Kreate also employs a closed-loop water pump system in its manufacturing process, eliminating water waste and reducing its environmental footprint. These innovations demonstrate how Kreate is setting new industry standards for responsible production.

Strength and Sustainability in Every Product

From durable totes and shelving units to toolboxes and sawhorses, Kreate designs products that meet the rigorous demands of both homeowners and professionals. By engineering recycled resins to match the strength and performance of virgin materials, Kreate ensures its products are just as reliable and long-lasting.

With a PP #5 resin designation, Kreate’s HDX and Husky totes are not only made from post-consumer resins, but are also recyclable, supporting a circular economy where materials are reused and repurposed.

A Shared Commitment to a Better Future

Kreate’s partnership with The Home Depot is built on a shared sustainability vision. By prioritizing recycled materials, energy efficiency and waste reduction, Kreate exemplifies what it means to take Eco Actions. Their dedication to innovation and environmental responsibility makes them a leader in sustainable manufacturing.

At The Home Depot, we believe that a better world is possible through better products. We’re proud to welcome Kreate as an Eco Actions Partner and celebrate their efforts to create sustainable, high-performance solutions for our customers and our planet.
